Skymall Rhetoric

You know how high-end magazines always advertise expensive retail items to their upper-crust target audience with slogans like 'you've arrived' and 'you earned it', yadda, yadda, hooey?

Well, it got me to thinking...

When I fly, I am Sky Mall's target audience and apparently I am fancy enough to buy things like this: 


THE GRAN DAMA EXPRESSO MACHINE! 
Pocket change at $3,000.

or this:

FULL SUIT OF ARMOR (man included)
Only $3,250


I feel like Sky Mall is telling me:

"You fly Delta economy class, you deserve it ."

The best part was the vacuum came with one of their catalogs. Mahon and I spent an evening looking through the whole thing... it was like the entertainment of SkyMall on the comfort of our couch!     While I do not deny it would be cool to ride around in a killer whale, I cannot for the life of me figure out who one earth has $100,000 to drop on a killer whale submarine!
